I think there are issues again

Blogger isn't working with me that last couple of days. Grrrr!

We had a very Merry Christmas and I hope you all did as well. The kids had a somewhat high tech Christmas in the gift recieving. They were very thoughtful in there gift giving. And one of the best gifts of all was that dh has been home all week on vacation. It's been SO NICE!

I have a confession. I've been visiting this site for a while now because it just ROCKS! But I've been intimidated to participate because the talent there is nothing short of amazing. This past week I just decided to bite the bullet and took the challenge. So here's my attempt at Digi Dare #16.

And today my friend Bonnie came down for a visit. How cool is that!!! We spent the day scrapping. She had a bright and shiney new laptop that needed to be broke in. ;) I worked on Digi Dare #17. And here's how it turned out.

Have a great weekend all and travel safe this weekend!!!

Christmas lights...

The night before last we went to visit my grandma and grandpa. We visited for a while and then went to town and got the kids an ice cream. On the way back to their house we drove around and looked at all the christmas lights in their town. We had such a great time. This one here took the cake of all the houses we saw that night... Darling daughter took the pic from the car window so its just a tad blurry. Any guesses on how many lights these people used or how long it took them to decorate? hehehe

I am so estatic that I am officially on vacation. Yay! When I got off work yesterday I went into town and bought all the stuff we'd need for our big Christmas dinner. I stopped at Target to get some last minute things and found some awesome 8x8 frames that I snapped up to put some of my layouts in. And I rented some movies on the way home. :D

Today I've been working on computers all day. Both of the kids computers needed some work so that kept me busy this morning. Then this afternoon I took dear hubby's puppy in for booster shots. This evening I'm getting ready to pop in some movies and do some crafts. Aw! A nice quiet evening alone. :D

And totally disgusting subject but I must say... the little mouse problem we were suddenly hit with is taken care of. All it took were those cheap little wooden mouse traps. So much for trying to do it the nice way. ;)

Thanks for visiting! Have a nice evening!

A man and his remote...

Credits can be found in my gallery at DST. TFL!
Well if nothing else this weekend, I've found a little rest. Sleep was sparse this week with this awful sinus congestion. Today I'm feeling slightly better.
Even though I was feeling pretty crummy yesterday we still trudged into town to get the kids their new cell phone. We got a decent deal on it since they were having sales. We needed to get it for them and give it to them a little early because they will be away for a few days before Christmas and I wanted to be able to keep in touch.
We went to church today and then I came home in time for a chat at TDC. The CT threw a little housewarming party for Karah there to welcome her as a new designer there. It was fun!
And this evening I'm finishing up the last few Christmas cards I'll be passing out at work tomorrow and package up the last gift. Phew! Almost done. :)
Did I mention that there is a mere 2 and a half days of work left before I'm on Christmas break for a few weeks? Yipee!
And with that, I must go watch The Grinch with the kids. Thanks for visiting!

Christmas spirit

I mananged to squeek out a lo this week. Credits can be found in my gallery.:)

Every night this week I've been busy with something... and doing quite a bit of hair for the holiday to boot. Yes I'm a cosmetologist... I used to teach it actually and took a sabatical back when my kids were knee high to a grasshopper. When they started elementary school I was there all the time. Somewhere along the way my volunteering turned into employment and now I just do friends hair on the side. Oh the twists and turns of life. It's all good!

Two days ago I woke up sneezing. It went on all day long.... I felt fine just achoo! all the time. Yesterday I woke feeling SO awful. My sinuses HURT so much and I have a sore throat. Ick! I mustered through work and came home so GRUMPY my kids were cutting big circles around me. :( Poor little guys. Anyway... today is no better. I'm going in to work but I'm not sure I'll stay.

And last night... as cruddy and I felt, I drug myself to darling daughters Christmas concert. It was really cute. They sang several songs but the cutest was when she and her best friend got down off the stage and did the Turkey Tango. hehehe.

Last ... I really am not surprised very often in life. But I simply must share with you how I was shocked, dismayed, dumbfounded.... this weekend when dear hubby and I went shopping. Must fill you in first that this past summer dh's work changed companies they deal with in the cell phone business so we all had to buy out of our contracts and resign with this new company. When we did so this new cell company sold us similar packages that we had with the old cell company and even explained that they had the shared plan and through in a free phone for the kids. Fine and dandy. Where is this leading? Well the kids lost there phone in a few short months. Dear hubby and I thought Santa might consider bringing them a replacement and when we went to see... Not a phone under $200.00 we could buy for replacement. Oh my! I'll leave it there because I'm speechless!

Thanks for visiting and have a great week!

And I am officially done shopping for the holiday

Yay!
This past week I ended up putting in what felt like a zillion hours at work. Then, Friday was dh and my wedding anniversary which we had no time to celebrate. Saturday though, we did. We went out and finished all our shopping and had lunch at the Olive Garden. Yum! We spent the whole day together before he headed out for work again bright and early Sunday morning. Sunday I spent the entire day home alone cleaning that which had been neglected all week long.
Now I just need to finish the Christmas cards and mail a box off to family by the end of the week. Hopefully that will all come together as planned. Oh and I misplaced one gift that I need to find this week as well. And clearly I am just rambling... sorry!
I've had such little time this week I don't know if I'm coming or going. No scrappy time whatsoever. Tonight perhaps.
Dear son brought home another creation this afternoon that I simply must share once again...
Oh and I did watch PotC one night this week at bedtime... loved it! Jack Sparrow... need I say more? ;)
Have a great week!

Looky looky

what my son made at school today. I was so proud of him. They made them for a fund raiser in their Natural Resources class and of course I was his first customer. ;) All the proceeds will go to a charity.

My darling daughter is still working hard to finish up her last few peices to her advent calander. (she wasn't home much this weekend like me.) I did finish mine. Here's a pic- One of her's coming soon.

I got out all the presents and wrapped them up this week. Nearly done with the shopping. Just need to make a few more peices of jewerly I'm giving as gifts. Tonight I'm going to address the first round of Christmas cards and get them sent out tomorrow. Go me! hehehe ;)

Tomorrow is our Christmas party at work. I'm going to attend and then plan on heading into town right afterwards to pick up Pirates of the Caribean 2. I'm very excited because I haven't seen it yet and I'm dying to!

Well not much time to blog tonight... I hope you all have a wonderful week! :D

beta blogger?

I hadn't switched before now because I heard of the glitches which made it difficult to post or leave comments. But with all the issues I'm having on the old blogger I went ahead and made the change. Let's see what happens.

The week has been SO busy. Today I didn't get a thing done. Basically just getting some much needed rest. It's been nice. :D

Tonight I'm thinking of putting in a movie and finishing up the last couple of magnets for the advent calander. It's just needing the finishing touch. Maybe I'll work on a lo later too.

Have I told you the story of the mouse? I'll leave you with the story of our little mouse. No it isn't a pet, in case you were wondering. I pulled out a drawer last week that I keep packaged spices in and realized that many packages had holes in the corners of the packages. I, of course, suspected a mouse. I emptied the drawer, cleaned it, and left it empty. A day or two later I pulled out our silverware drawer and found tiny pellets. I was SO MORTIFIED. So off the the store I went. I bought one of those thing-y-ma-jigs that let off a high requency to scare them off and a couple of mouse traps that are suppose to be humane... they go into this little box and are supposed to be trapped in there until you dispose of them. Well that little bugger can get in and out of the box. He did the first day I put it out. But the good news is that I haven't seen any traces of him in a few days now. Keeping my fingers crossed that its GONE!

Well, I should be off. Have a great weekend!

I HATE BLOGGER

I really do. I tried another blog a while back and though it wasn't the one for me I have realized I can't live with this one either. It seems that I'm having more and more difficulty trying to post, and don't even get me started on the posting at other blogger blogs. *sigh*

With rant over... some nice things to say... I had a wonderful couple of snow days off. :D LOVED IT! Went back to school today and was home just in time to get out of the freezing rain. Yep! It's now freezing rain over the snow. What a mess outside!

We worked in our bedroom the past couple of days. About this time last year, we decided to re-do our bedroom. I had great gusto at first- painted the room, trim, and doors. Cleaned all the carpets, bought some dressers, and I made some wall hangings. Last Christmas the family got me a new bedspread and it was beautiful. So what was left for me to work on? Well, I needed to repaint the doors and trim because the paint I used and was told was washable, was not. And the new dressers we bought last year didn't match the other furniture. I'm happy to report they now do. And dh and I picked out some curtains for the room which was the finishing touch. I'm thrilled, to say the least, and Yay- its finally finished. :D

Darling daughter and I started and really fun craft too on our snow days. (Thanks Gwen for the idea!) I'll post a pic of our advent cookie sheets when we've put on the finishing touches.

And last I would like to share a lo with you. It's a little wild and crazy, but so am I. ;P

Loving the long weekend!

I did this lo on Thurday and the credits can be found in my galleries. :D

It's the third day I have had off and I'm SO THANKFUL! We had a very nice and cozy Thanksgiving day at home. Friday we got up at 4:30 in the morning and braved the crowds. We did find some treasures for the kids for Christmas. When we got home we cleaned up the yard from the storms... lots of limbs and debris about the yard. We hung Christmas lights and finished decorating the house. I managed to hit a few black Friday digi sales too. Last night dh and I got a pizza and some movies and had a quiet evening in.
Today I'm home alone and have been catching up on some housework while I can. Next week is going to be super busy and I have to work a bunch of over-time so gotta get my hens in a row now to help things run smoothly throughout the week.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

And lets give this another try...

Lets see if blogger will accept the coding today. Here's father and daughter ball pics. :D

And here's that lo I couldn't seem to load earlier in the week.

Credits are in my galleries.

I wish all you my friends a most happy and wonderful holiday! Enjoy!

Sigh

So lately I've been wondering what it is I'm doing! I took an extra job this year to pay for the trip my son is now not going on this summer. We decided to use that money to buy that new couch I posted about a few weeks ago... but I really wish that the job was just over. I'm contracted to see is through until the middle of June and that just seems like so far away right now. *sigh*

With my normal job, my extra job, and all my other daily duties I just don't feel like I have enough time for me or things I like to do. I'm a homebody and would just like to slow down. And thankfully I'm in luck! I will have a few weeks off of both jobs at chrismastime. Phew! Now just to grin and bear it until then, right?!?!?

Enough with my pity party and on to the things I DO ENJOY... here are a couple more lo's I've done this week. :D Okay I was going to post more than this one but blogger keeps telling me it is having coding issues so, next time perhaps.
Of course credits can be found in my galleries. TFL!

And the Father and Daughter Ball was this weekend. I took some pictures which I'll come back and share on the next post. They had a wonderful time. It was very cool and so speacial!

Alas I must be heading off to work. Thanks for visiting!!!

Darn Blogger!

I had full intent on posting more often but blogger didn't agree. At least its cooperating this afternoon.

Well we've gone from floods to high winds this past week. It made for a good excuse to stay inside and bundled up all weekend. And I have a miserable cold that the kids are starting to get so we didn't really have tons of energy either. I even dug out my cross stitching and got to working on a project.
I completed a few new lo's since the last post. Here's two I'd like to share on my blog.

Credits can be found in my galleries. TFL! :)
This week is SO NICE at work because I am getting off early every day. And next week I only have to work 2 1/2 days and then a 4 day week for the holiday. Yay!!! Now I can play catch up around home with those things I put on the back burner.
We went out shopping the other day and bought darling daughter's dress for the father daughter ball this weekend. Its really pretty and its a little strapless number... she is growing up to fast! I'll post some pics after the weekend. :)
Well I'm totally rambling here so I should be off. Thanks for visiting and happy hump day!

Let's talk birthday

Dear son's birthday party was last weekend. What do you do with 4 teenage boys on a rainy weekend? Well... There was a broken door, a broken fish tank, and a broken tooth. Does that sound entertaining enough? LOL! Okay, the door had been broken and patched up once before and clearly not well. ;) The tooth was loose and when it came out the permenant one was already showing... the elbow just helped it pop out. And the fish tank was only holding a lizard the kids had found outside so it wasn't a huge mess. ;) Of course its been nearly a week now before I dare speak of this on my blog. :P

So here's some pics of planned activities~

The good old 2 liter of coke and a roll of mentos...

Playing the PS2 and PSP-

Back outside for a silly string fight!

Uno stacko anyone? Do I need to tell you I bribe them to play with a rather large bag of candy? ;)

And some ice cream cake...

It was a lot of fun. I can say with the utmost confidence it is also the last time he has a big sleepover. Hehehe. If only I could bottle that energy!

Today I don't have to work... Yay! So I'm hoping to get scrappy after I color my darling daughter's hair and her girlfriends who slept over last night. Wish me luck. ;)

She said He said

So I was able to scrap a bit this evening. I did one simple lo of the kids. :D And of course credits can be found in any of my galleries in the side bar.
The water recided a little today although is still rained quite a bit.
The kids have fought non-stop all afternoon. *sigh*
Did I mention that the father daughter ball is coming up the weekend after next? Yep! Darling daughter and I have been searching for the perfect dress but haven't had much luck. I think we'll be making a drive if we don't find one locally this weekend. She is getting really excited though to go have a special night out with daddy! :D
Well, that's about it for this evening. TTFN!

Rain rain go away

Yes I live in Washington state and we are used to a little rain but now I'm getting WET! I was at work the yesterday and part of the grounds flooded. I had rubber boots so I got to go wading through the water. Today we came back in and the fence at the property line where it was flooding yesterday was at least 3/4 of the way under water this morning. It must be a 4' fence. So there was a little flooding last night to say the least. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?!?!

Yesterday was a long 12 hour day at work. Today I was able to work, run my errands in town and pick up some emergency drinking water (just in case), then come home to relax a bit. I scrapped one lo this evening. :)

Credits can be found in my galleries. This was just last winter and our last trip in our RV before we sold it and bought our boat. Good memories!
I read just before bed every night as it relaxes me and lets my mind idle. Currently I'm reading Julie Garwood's Killjoy. So far its been a pretty good book! And its calling to me... ;) So, I shall say goodnight and go hit the hay! Thanks for visiting!

Sunday, November 05, 2006

Oh my time has flown by!

Not only the week but we celebrated dear son's thirteenth birthday too.

He had a sleep over Friday. Yesterday when all the friends left we zipped into town to run an errand I had for work. We also got to do a little Christmas shopping... glad to have that started! On the way home I treated the kids to a DQ pumpkin pie blizzard- Yum! The holiday shopping, christmas wrapping, and pumpkin pie treat all put me in the mood so I came home to scrap this. :D

I also did this one...

While I was scrapping darling daughter worked on some fun crafts which I'll take a picture of when she's done. They were perfect fun little rainy day projects!
Now we are off to church. I hope you all have a super Sunday! I'll try not to be so scarce now that a few big events are over. Thanks for visiting!

Happy Halloween

May you all have a wonderful day and be SAFE!

See you again soon!

This weekend

you were not forgotten. I tried blogging yesterday and earlier today but it was not accepting my post. :S

But here we are now. I made some changes in my blog to. Updated it a bit and took off the blinkies and some sidebar images because it makes for a long load if your not on high speed.

So what have I done since we last blogged? I have scrapped. :D

This is a kit by Sherri and the credits can be found in my gallery.

And this is a little bigger because I'm playing around with sizes to find one that I can post universally. Thanks for the understanding!

The cedits for this can also be found in my gallery.

Friday I ran into town after work and found a really nice winter jacket for myself for $30.00. I could hardly believe the price! Gotta love Ross! Then I got together with some ladies from our church. Yesterday I did 32 loads of laundry. Okay it wasn't really that many loads but it was feeling like it by the end of the day. In between loads I managed to get *most* of the house clean. I took a couple little breaks to dink on the computer and scrapbook.

Today... well, I should have gone to church but I just didn't feel like it. What I mean by that is that I have one of those sinus colds. I'm okay during the day when I'm blowing, but at night it manages to stuff up and drain all at the same time. You know that cold where it seems to get worse at night and you feel like you can't breath so you try sleeping upright on the couch. That's been me for the past three nights. Very broken sleep out on the couch. :(

And speaking of our couch... Ever since dear hubby and I got together seven years ago he has wanted a sectional couch. I kept saying no because we live in a smaller manufactured home, but we were out a week ago and found that they are making them now small scale so I finally gave in and said yes. With both our birthdays recently and our anniversary around the corner and Christmas on top of that, we bought one for all those occasions and had it delivered this week. And I can attest to how comfy it is. ;) Here's a pic of what dh picked out for our tv area.

The foot rest in the pic is actually to an overstuffed chair we have in the livingroom and didn't come with this sectional, in case you were wondering. :)
For some reason I feel like I could just go on and on with this post, but I won't. Kuddos to you if you stuck with me this long! I hope you all have a Super Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Hump Day!

Is it really Wednesday already? Can it really be? Time sure flies when you are having fun!

I did a lo the other day of dd birthday. It's done with 'And Many More' kit by Karah.

Isn't she cute! See those lovely glasses she is wearing? Last week my dh dog chewed them up beyond repair. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Yep! While she was sleeping the dog jumped onto the bed and over to the night stand where she snagged her glasses and proceeded to chomp them up like a raw hide treat. So Saturday we had to go in and order her some new specs in which we had to pay for since insurance would not cover. Did I mention we also bought the beloved dog a kennel for evening containment.

Last night I got scrappy and did a LO of our weekend trip to the pumpkin patch. Again I used a kit by Karah. Isn't her stuff COOL!

Guess what I'm doing this upcoming weekend... I'm birthday shopping for my son. I can hardly believe that he turns 13 this year. *sniffle* What do you buy a spoiled rotten 13 year old boy? ;) When asked the answer is always the same three things- baseball cards, psp/ps2 games, football jerseys. We've always held strong to no television in the bedroom until the teen years so he'll get a tv. What else? Hmmmmmm. Ideas?
And to end this evening, I wanted to share some more exciting news... Beth Hesselberg has offered me a spot on her creative team. I can hardly believe the amazing opportunities I've had this past few months. It's been such a wonderful and exciting experience to get to work with these designers.
Have a wonderful week all!

Welcome back

to our regularly scheduled program. ;)

The truth of the matter is that I tried something new. It didn't really work out for me though... so what did you miss? I've been a busy girl! I have the amazing opportunity to create for another designer too! Karah has some amazing fresh and funky designs and I love 'em! You can check them out at her site Blue Flombingo. I've played with a kit this morning but its not quite ready to share. Hopefully tomorrow!

This past week has been really nice. The weather has been dry the later part of the week. We were driving by the lake, as we do everyday on our way to school, when dd asked if she could snap a pic. She rolled down the window and took this as we were still in motion on the highway. Check out the low fog.

Friday I was supposed to get high speed internet and boy was I looking forward to it... but they no showed. Long story short, I got it this evening and boy or boy is it NICE! Yay!
Saturday morning we got up and did some chores around the house. Then we went to the pumpkin patch. I was SO much fun. They had the animals and the hayrides... the whole bit. Of course I took a billion pics too! LOL.

Welcome back to my blog and thanks for hopping with me! TTFN!

Good Monday Morning to you!

How you all doing?

We had a lot of fun this weekend. Darling daughter cheered at the varsity football game Friday night. It was so much fun! Here' s a little peek of her with the head cheerleader.

Yesterday was dear hubby's birthday. Saturday we had some friends over and had pizza and cake... we couldn't let the big 40 come and go without notice. :P

And I worked some on a LO this weekend but its still but a wip. So not much to share for now on the scrappy front.
Well off I head to work. Hope you all have a great week!

In the blink of an eye

the week went by. I woke this morning to find it a week later than I thought it was. Where did the last week go? At least I woke to find it a payday which I didn't expect. :p Seriously I've been SO busy that this is just crazy.

So an update... I scrapped this with Sherri's new kit. It's really beautiful and full of fall colors. It is supposed to be released this week so keep an eye out for it.

(Credits: Unnamed kit by Sherri Tierney, stitches by Gina Miller, stamp by Holly McCaig, font is Armano, and AC action used on the title - Pristine chipboard.)
No update on the ant farm. When we bought it the gal suggested we just go ant hunting rather than order them through the company to enhance the experience. Well we did but those ants were not into this gel stuff one bit. So we still have an ant farm waiting for some tennants. I shall order some this afternoon since I get off work a couple of hours early today.
I finished watching the second season of GA and it was so worth the purchase. Enough said. ;)
This week darling daughter is doing cheer camp and on Friday she will cheer at half-time at the high school football game. She looks forward to this every year. I have the camcorder charging for the game. :D
And... still struggling with the son. He's decided to tell me a few white lies this past week about school work. He knows better than to lie. <*sigh*> Did I mention he turns 13 in less than a month which I'm sure is contributing to some of these difficulties? <*sigh*>
Thanks for visiting. Hope you all have a really wonderful week.

Ramblings...really!

This is one of those mornings when you wake up and have all those little odds and bits going through your head. Nothing a great importance just little things like- I'm thrilled we found all the puppies a good home and we can now clean all the carpets this weekend since we are puppy free. - Also thinking about how long today is going to be for me and the kids. I work today from 8:30 to 3:00 have a break until 4:15 and then working again until 8:15. And that makes for a long day. - Another thought - ever since I was a little girl I've had a phobia of dentists. Why am I telling you this? Well I have been very lucky as an adult and needed very little work on my teeth. A few weeks ago I went in with the kids for our regular checkup and the dentist tells me I have the beginning of a cavity. Really no biggie under normal circumstances but this little spot is near a old filling so he wants to go digging around. EEEK! It took me two weeks to get up the courage to call in to make the appointment and then when I did the office was closed. So this is probably why its on my mind this morning - I should call on my break today and bite the bullet. <*sigh*>

Well I'll leave you off with one more silly little thing- a memory that has me chuckling again this morning. Children are SO SWEET! A few day ago while at work a group of kids came running up to me. (These were small kids around 6 and 7 years old.) They were hooting and hollering "Teacher, teacher..... look what we found!" Then they proudly sport a rather large tree frog. They were really cute! I really love that age. So back to the story.... I tell them that if you flip the frog over and gently rub its belly that it'll take a nap. They giggle and run off. About four minutes pass and one child comes back over to me. "Teacher! Look he's asleep!" Then out comes his grimey little hand to proudly display a frog lying motionless on its back on his palm. I smiled. He smiled. Then jokingly I asked him if he could hear the frog snoring. The little boy's face gets a puzzled look and he slowly retracts his arm and leans his ear down near the frog to listen.

Cracked me up! ;)

Shall insert a rooster call here for those of you I've put to sleep with my rather boring ramblings? ;)

Thanks for visiting and have a super hump day!

Monday post

Well I ended up having Friday off as well since my son was not feeling better. Poor thing has been absolutely miserable this entire school year. We got him some meds and lots of rest so he is feeling better now, thankfully. We did however make a tough decision for him to quit the football team. With his health lately and missing so many practices on top of all the schoolwork he was coming home with it just seemed to be the best choice. He really loves playing football so this was a tough decision. I hope the kids at school go easy on him when they learn today that he's not finishing out the season.

And on a lighter note, Saturday I busted out of the house and went into town to shop. I went to the Learning Palace and bought the kids this cool antfarm amoung other things.

Here's ours~

I thought it'd be fun to take some pics of it during different stages. :D

While out shopping I also picked up the second season of GA. Really I was going to be good and just rent it to get caught up but they split it up into 5 rentals which made it so pricey I thought it'd be better to just buy it. Of course I dash into Target and pick it up and head to the check out line. The cashier says "Oh you watch this? I love it." I reply that I just recently started watching and am trying to get caught up. Then she says (clearly without thinking) I hated it when so and so dies in the second season. I can't believe she did that. Some people are SO RUDE! Notice I did not go into detail in case any readers of my blog are in the same boat as me. ;) Anyway I'm looking forward to settling in tonight and watching some of the second season.

One lo was produced this weekend and here it is~ FUN A shameless scraplift of Gina Miller's Crazy Child.

(Credits: Zazou's little fishies kit, Corina Neilson's cheap trims, Gina Miller's ricrac, Michelle Coleman's furry heart and staples, Holly McCaig's buttons and glitter letters. Font is Everett Steel's hand.)

And last but certainly not least, a picture of my new desk hence my new scrappy space. :D

Thanks for stopping in to visit. Now I must be off to show a lady our last little puppy for sale. I hope we find it a good match. :D Bye!

Fall

Hello blogland.

I was off work yesterday to take care of my son who's feeling a bit under the weather. I felt bad for the poor not-so -little guy. He layed in bed all day with the exception of lunchtime when he had some homemade soup.

Really it was kinda nice for me to be home an extra day - just not at his expense- because I got a lot done around the house. Ever feel so overwhelmed by the little stuff you let slide during the week? For me it had been the little stuff adding up for the last two weeks since I was in bed myself for a large portion of last weekend. Anywhoo... The list is managable once again. Woot woot!

Television is watched primarily by the children in our home. I rarely watch any- really. So I must confess, while shopping at Target earlier in the week, I bought season one of Grey's Anatomy. If dear son is feeling well and returns to school today (I'll know when he gets up this morning) then I plan on heading into town to buy season two after work. And yes, I did watch the Season three beginning last night. I'm hooked- what can I say? ;P

The desk was assembled for the most part the other night. But yesterday I was able to finish all the small things like the drawers and keyboard slider and such. I'm so very pleased with it. I'll have to take a picture to post soon since its my scrappy space. :D

And speaking of scrappy.... I did one lo yesterday~

Hope you all have a super fabulous and fantastic Friday. And... enjoy the first day of Fall.

What's that saying?

The one that goes something like 'today's not your day and tomorrow isn't looking good either'. I feel like that is this week's motto. Hmph! Ugh! Grrrrrr!

Nearly all that could go wrong has. Can I just go hide in bed under the covers until the weekend? Palease!!!!!!!! Purty palease?

Not only am I having a rotten week, so is my son. He started middle school this year and it has been an aweful experience for him to date. I am really concerned. He has this amazing opportunity to travel at the end of the school year but this doubt has crept into the back of my mind wondering if it isn't too much. Then I start wondering if I am being over protective or if it would really be in his best interest to see if it can be delayed a summer or two. Sigh.

Sherri has a new kit she is releasing some time this week and I just love it. Here's a peek~

I went out and bought myself a new desk. So off I go to try and put the sucker together. Wish me luck. TTFN!

Well......... There's the latest. Not only my latest scrappy pages but some of the news that I wanted to share. I am now proudly creating for Simply Sherri designs. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have the opportunity. She released two kits this week and both the lo's shown are from her Fresh Funky Fun kit. If you like what you see you can buy her kits here or here. :D
In other news, I still have this stinking cold and it is kicking my butt. If that wasn't bad enough, now I am getting this gynormous cold sore on my top lip for all the world to see. I rarely ever get cold sores... really! I can count on one hand how many times I've had them in my life. So what is this all about? Bah humbug!
So last Sunday the kids and I went to church as usual. Afterwards we went to the park and enjoyed a picnic which was so much fun! (See top lo- ;) ) It was really a beautiful day and we enjoyed it to its fullest. Then we came home and the kids did their homework. Can you believe that both kids had three and a half hours of work last Sunday? That seemed like a lot to me. Sheesh. I guess I should be glad that they are learning stuff though.
Through the week its been work, football, schoolwork, and more work. Notice there hasn't been much time in there for housework or internet time. Sorry to have become a sloucher in the blogging department but that is life at the moment. I know you all can relate. Just a few more weeks of football I remind myself and that should free up quite a bit of time. :D
Well, thanks so much for stopping by to read. I updated a few links and such in my side panel. And now I am hoping for a little scrappy time over the weekend. Sherri other new kit is calling my name........ lol
Have a great weekend!

So...

I'm up in the middle of the wee hours of morning waiting for my next dose of Sudafed to kick in and give my sinuses some relief and thought, why not blog? lol.

Work started back up the week before last and I knew I would be scarce around here the first few weeks because of it... but sheesh! And if work, dear son's football, and trying to get rid of the puppies isn't enough, I have a miserable cold. Working in an elementary school, I seemed to always get a cold the first few months of school and then build up some resistance. *sniffle sniffle*

Other than working, football, and getting rid of the puppies, we took our last summer trip this past weekend. There is a small town about an hour and a half from our home (so small you blink and you will miss it kind of town ;) ) and they are famous for their town flea markets. Yes! People come from all over the Pacific Northwest to sell their *stuff* in this town twice a year. It really is insane but oh so fun to go to. So Sunday that is exactly what we did. Darling daughter rode the ponies. Here's some pics-

There was this sign on the gate- hehe

And then we drove up to Seattle and had dinner at the Olive Garden. Yummy! We stayed overnight in a hotel and the next morning we went and spent the day at Six Flags Enchanted Parks. Here's a pic I took just before we ate lunch-

I'll post some more when I have time to scrap again. :D
And before I leave I shall answer the lingering question... My natural hair color IS blond. If I told you that I was a cosmetologist would is explain why my hair has been so many different colors? Mostly in beauty school way back when I might add. ;)
As soon as things settle down and I have some regularity to my schedule again, I really have some fun things to share. I hope that comes soon rather than later.
Thanks all for stopping by! TTFN and TGIF! :D

Blue

I'm feeling so blue right now. I just sent off three of the puppies. (Two of them were pups I was particularly fond of. *sniffle sniff*) I tried not to get attached but its so hard when they are so cute and so full of personality. Okay... sorry for the tiny pity party. I'm done now.
I was tagged by a friend which I mentioned yesterday, so... thanks Sherri. List 5 weird things about yourself or your pets.
  1. All melon candles give me headaches.
  2. I eat my french fries before my hamburger.
  3. My second toe is longer than my first.
  4. Word search puzzles are easy for me yet I can't do a crossword to save my life.
  5. I've been platinum blonde, blonde, red headed, brunette and black haired at one time or another in my life. Anyone know what my natural color is? :P

And just for fun I will do a list for my dog too.

  1. Harry is a talker. Not to be mistaken for a yipper. He loves to be vocal at times - acting like he's speaking to me.
  2. He loves the boat and gets upset if we don't take him out with us.
  3. My dog loves to tube out on the boat. And yes he has his own life jacket.
  4. When in the car with us he always rides up on my shoulders. (behind my head and the headrest)
  5. Clothes are his thing. He loves to dress up and go out. (Can you tell this dog is spoiled rotten?)

Well that's all I have today folks. I should get off of the line in case more people are trying to call through for puppies. So you all have a fantastic weekend!!!

Back to the land of blogging

Did you miss me? ;)

Last weekend we cleaned our garage. That was an entire day long process but well worth it. Sunday and Monday were very nice and we finished doing all those last minute things before back to school time.

Wednesday the kids were back and I got a pic which I'll post in a lo soon. :D The week was crazy from there. I am so happy it's Friday. And a holiday weekend no less. Three blissful days of R&R.

The puppies are so darn adorable. I will be both happy and sad to see them go. They are fun to play with and watch. They are also tons of work. Did I mention the ad comes out in tomorrow's paper? Yep! they are six weeks old already and eating solid foods.

Throughout the week I fiddled here and there on a lo. And here it is...

I was tagged by a friend and will have to save that for tomorrow's post. Thanks for stopping by. :D

Hit and run

posting here. I have four more days of summer break left and then it is back to work. So... posting will be short over the weekend as I enjoy this last little bit of fun and freedom with the family. :D
I've been doing a great deal of thinking lately about my scrapbooking. What happen to the two page lo's? I switched to digi and they simply disappeared. That shall need to change. I also have some really fun ideas that I'd like to put together and give a go... but those will have to wait until next week. So stay tuned.
And yesterday when I was taking dear son to football practice the engine light came back on. Dear hubby took it back in again today in which they couldn't find a thing wrong with it and so on Monday I have to take it back in and leave it while they tear back into my car looking for the problem. *sigh* I really can't complain too much because they have done all the subsquent testing free of charge and they are giving me a car on loan Monday while they keep mine. So they have really been good in customer service if not mechanically to this point. ;)
The puppies are gynormous and have teeth and cute curly hair now. They're hopping, barking and playing- what puppies do best. I'll post some 5 week pics over the weekend.
Well - Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!

Ya'll are gonna laugh

at me. Next week my eldest starts middle school. (In our neck of the woods middle school consists of 7 and 8th grade students.) School has yet to start and its already kickin' my butt. This is going to be an interesting year- I can tell already. ;)

You see, up until now- we've always got a class list for supplies and such. Not this year. We've also been told teachers and class schedules before- not this year. We've been told the school rules and policy and procedures- not this year. Are you seeing a pattern here? Apparently the only parental involvement is a few forms we will need to fill out when the school is ready? I went in yesterday as it was the first day of fall sports and asked for some of the forms so that we could have them filled out and turned in when school starts... they didn't know where they were? These were important documents people. :S

Well, the good news that came from yesterday was that I learned that my son didn't have to get another physical this year for sports - Coach came and told me and gear handout. We had an appointment at the end of the week and were able to cancel it with this news. :)

We ran into town- stopped at Target and left thinking that I spent so much there I should never went in in the first place. You know how all that stuff adds up especially when you are buying school supplies and household cleaning supplies, don't you! Then to the mall and bought dear son his football cleats and accessories. And while in the mall I bought a new watch for myself for back to work. Then we did the grocery shopping. What an exciting day, right!?!? hehehe

I did not get a lick of scrapping done yesterday. And this morning is looking grim. Our power is going to be off all morning and possibly part of the afternoon while they work on some powerlines in our area so computer is being shut down after posting this. Time to cozy in and read a good book today I suppose. :)

Oh and here's the watch I found... it really was love at first sight! :)

You all have a fabulous Wednesday. TTFN!
