We only made it 5 days

before retreating back home. We left on Sunday and set up camp in the rain. Everything got WET but we live in Washington and have webbed feet right? lol. Really, it was the first day of vacation and so we really didn't care - we were just happy to be there. We got a site with a GORGEOUS view. This one is from inside our tent on one of the gloomy days- looking out at the lake. Still it was so pretty.

And if you looked over the bank you'd see our boat in the water. This was a beautiful day.

Mon. - Wed. the weather was better during the day but somewhat stormy two of the nights. We fished, tubed, swam, played lots of board games, rode bikes, ect. A very nice time. Here's a few pics of us playing with the new tube.

Here's some pics darling daughter shot. She had the camera out to take a pic of dear son and I in the tube when these JETS were practicing manuvers overhead. Thinking quick, she got a couple of shots. Pretty cool!

And at one point I was able to get a couple of shots of the kids just enjoying life.

And so not to overload you with pics, I'll finish up this post. Thursday we woke to the rain. The sprinkles turn to buckets of rain. We thought we'd stick in out but it didn't really let up. Later in the afternoon the weather report said it was to be like this for a few days. Once again we were soaked to the bone and cold so we all agreed to pack up and head home.

Although we are home, we are going to make the best of it. We rented a couple of movies for today and if the weather improves for the weekend we are going to go hit the lake again. Its all good!

Thanks for stopping in. You all have a SUPER WEEKNEND!

And we're off

We're heading out the door to the campsite. I'll be offline while away. If the weather holds out we'll be gone for 8 or 9 days. Hope you all have a super week!

Here's a couple of LO's I did in the past couple of days. Thanks for looking!

Its done Woot woot!

The floors are finished! Yay! Here's some pics-

It still needs the trim which my dear hubby will so kindly put up after vacation. :D

I've been working my rear end off this week so that everything will be done. It feels good to have it done but its been a lot of work. My shoulders are sore. Floors done, carpets clean, laundry washed, paying bills out this evening and packing up tomorrow. Fun fun fun!

Yesterday I did a simple lo-

I must say I saw the cutest thing yesterday. The deer that hang around on our property had a baby and the fawn was out trying to stand near momma. I don't think I've seen one that young before. So adorable!

Well, I need to be off and running again. You all have a super week!

The floor is coming along nicely...

Blood and sweat have gone into this but it's starting to look good. lol! The kitchen is done and that was the largest area as well as the most difficult to do with a lot of specialty cuts. The dining room is 2/3rds of the way finished and tomorrow the project will be complete. Yay! I *had* to post the pic this evening. I just took it and so its a little dark but I'm sure you get the idea. :)

The carpet cleaner got put together today and I cleaned the family room. I'm really pleased at the job it did. Tomorrow I'll hit the livingroom as well. Later in the week I need to do my bedroom as well. Gosh by the end of the week, if I can keep up this pace, things will be lookin' good.

I've been reading a book by a new to me author and its really good. I've thoroughly enjoyed it and it is a fictional murder mystery set in the PNW. GONE by Lisa Gardner. When we were in Target last week I picked up two more books by her for vacation. I'm really looking forward to digging into those. One is in this series I'm reading and the other is not. Hopefully they are just as good. :D

Picasa 2 I downloaded a long time ago and really don't use it much. I decided that I'm going to take the time to tag my scrappy stuff. Early when I needed a break I sat down at the computer and started doing just that. I'm really glad I'm doing it because I forget (and I know I'm not alone in this boat) about stuff that I've purchased and never used. This is a great reminder and should be quite useful once I'm finished.

And I'm sitting here at the computer and realizing that the touch up paint I used on the walls earlier today in the livingroom and family room is slightly off color. Hmph! Did I grab the wrong bucket? Did I not stir it well enough? Do I really need to repaint it again tomorrow? Those are the questions of the evening. lol!

Well, its getting late so I shall head off to bed with my book. Thanks so much for stopping by. You all have a great week!

Weekend Projects

Well the top two pics are of what I'm replacing. It was a stock linolium in the kitchen which I never very much cared for. And why? Why on earth would someone put carpet in a dining room and mud room? For years I've wanted to replace the carpet in those two rooms. Well, I decided to do that this weekend. Yep. School got out on Friday a little early and to celebrate, I went down to Home Depot and bought the supplies I need and tackled this little project on my weekend home alone. The dear hubby and kids helped on Friday pull up the old lino and carpet. I'm doing the rest. So far I've laid the new flooring in the kitchen. The dining room is getting a fresh coat of paint and then the flooring will go down in there. And in the morning I'll finish up the mud room. :D

We stopped at Target also on Friday to buy a new microwave because ours died. While there dear hubby bought a carpet cleaner too. When I'm done with this project, that's next on my list. I'm trying very hard to get everything CLEAN and IN ORDER before next weekend so when we return from vacation, I can just enjoy the summer with the kids.

Friday we celebrated Father's day in our household since dear hubby had to work today. It was nice and he opened a few gifts from the kids. They got him a 'worlds greatest dad' shirt and hat (he loves those!)and some of his favorite candies. He also got a coffee grinder. And we topped it off by taking him out to lunch. He chose Red Lobster... Yummy! It was a nice day!

Going back to va-ca... Seven more days. Yes, a new countdown. :D

Well, break is over. Must get back to work. You all have a super weekend and enjoy fathers day!

Three days and two hours left...

I'm still counting down the days until life will return to some form of nomallacy. Today is a good day though. Coffee is brewing, sun is shining, and kids are getting along at the moment. (although that's most likely because one of them is still sleeping :D ) Either way the house is quiet.

This weekend was quiet and pretty low key. I worked on a couple of lo's (yes the spirit moved me) and so here they are- Both are of pics/events from this past week.

So yesterday my neighbor knocks on my door and says- let's go for a walk. I was so glad. Do you know how much easier it is to walk and talk then to do it alone? It was a good walk. And of course then I was energetic so I decided to mow some of the yard as well. lol!

Well its time for me to get off of this computer and finish getting ready for work. You all have a super week! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thursday already!

I'm most happy to report that things have been little better this week.

Aside from my computer getting a virus, this has been a great week. We went bike riding the other day. We went to town and helped dear hubby pick out some new glasses for himself... and the new ones are going to look so nice! Yesterday we started deep cleaning the boat so it will be all polished and ready to go by vacation. Yep... great week!

Today I'm heading off for another school field trip. My own children are not on this one - this one is just part of the job but I'm looking forward to it. A little change in routine shall be nice. I'm taking a good book and my itunes along with. :)

Oh and last night we sat and watched a movie - Denzel Washington in DEJAVU - it was pretty good. A little bit strange at times but it was good. I would watch it again. Some real interesting concepts going on.

Tomorrow I'm taking the kids bowling after school and then I'm coming home and going to relax and scrap. Wouldn't that be a lovely way to end the week and start the weekend?!

You all have a great one!

And the balls come tumbling down

Okay. I admit I've just have to much going on in life right now. HELP! Do you know what I did? I can't believe this but at the beginning of the month, I paid out bills. Nothing out of the ordinary there but I must have been disrupted in the process and not gone back to it so as all the new months bills are rolling in... I've learned that a bunch didn't get paid. Aaaaaaaaaaaack!

Darling daughter had a very important paper I was supposed to send in to the school, and I forgot. I woke up this weekend in the middle of the night with the horrible pit in my stomach as I remembered the forgotten sheet. I'm losing my mind!

Work has me SUPER stressed too. The last few weeks before summer break are also stressful which is one of the main reason we always take a vacation in late June... so that I can destress and unwind. Usually that little R&R starts off the summer well. If I can only make it until then without major disaster. (Although the bill thing was pretty major!) Must get my head screwed on straight!

Along with the stress, my creative mojo is hiding. I haven't been feeling it lately to say the least. I did do a lo this week but it took the entire week I've been missing to put this together. At least I do like the finished lo.

I dislike living in the country this time of year. Why you ask? It's because the coyotes are attacking the deer at night. I wake in the middle of the night hearing the deer cry as they are being mauled. :(

Other sad news, I left one of my wonderful creative teams. The Shak has been a fun run. I'll miss those girls!

Well, I'm off for another meeting for work tonight. I hope you all have a super wonderful week! Be safe!
