See ya!

Today is the first official day of vacation. We are nearly ready and shortly after church we are heading out. :D

I put in the last of my hours at work on Friday. We took Lily (my dh's pup) in to get spayed and she is recovering well. The day before her surgury, the kids were eating grapes. Yes grapes. And one fell on the floor. Well... Lily found it and before we knew it she was running about the carpet having the time of her life. It was hysterical. Of course my son (who is nothing like his momma ;) ) ran and got the camera. He took several shots and we had a great laugh. Here's some of the pics he took.

The one of her licking her chops is a little blurry, but I couldn't leave it out. hehehe

We also got my laptop sent off yesterday which should be ready and waiting upon our return. :D

I bought a printer a couple of weeks ago and can you believe I have had NO TIME to even plug it in? You do know what I'm doing the day after vacation don't you. ;) I must go pack the owners manuel to read while we're gone.

First day of summer...yay!

It's here, it's here, it's finally here! School is officially out and summer's here. I am estatic! Our summer VACATION is just around the corner. I have some i-tunes downloaded and some good reading lined up... I am prepared. ;)

So I did get called in for jury duty last week on Wednesday. It was fine but I was a little nervous that I would need to serve again the next day and miss out on my darling daughter's performance in the talent show. It all worked out though... thanks for small favors! I was dismissed on Thursday and able to see Mckena play her guitar while her friend sang to a karoke CD. They were too cute! Haven't had any time to scrap it but here's a couple of pics. :D

I know I complained a while back about some things going wrong but may I say that we seem to be on a roll at this point. I hope it is nearly over as I'm not sure we can manage with good humor for much longer.

1. boat motor needed rebuilt
2. dishwasher quit and we had to replace
3. bought out of old cell contract and bought new phones and services- thanks to dh's work :S
4. mower needed $125 in repairs
5. found old mower beyond repair and had to purchase a new mower
6. laptop died (thank goodness it under warrenty) but spent small fortune getting desktop into good working order this week before shipping laptop off for repairs.

The money tree in the backyard is looking pretty thin as of late... if you know what I mean. Probably a good thing I'm getting some extra $$$ this summer working rather than taking it off.

Okay... vent over.

Looking forward to vacation but also looking forward to afterwards as well. This week is crazy finishing up work and preparing for our camping trip that its exhausting. A pleasant surprise is that we were able to extend our trip a few more days and stay out through the 4th of July. Found out yesterday that dh's schedule would work out that way and so we are SO PLEASED! And when I return I plan to get lost in a scrapping frenzy. I have the desktop all set up and rip roaring and ready to go.

A title?

No time for a title. Hehe!

Just a quick fly by as it is WAY past my bed time. But I am trying really hard not to neglect my blog with the craziness of my schedule.

Today my son was given the grand tour of the Junior High School. He'll start the seventh grade next year and it means new stomping grounds for him. He was very excited. I on the other hand can't believe I... uh, I mean- he's that old. *sniff*

Tomorrow I have to report. Yep I was called in for service. So... We'll see what happens. My darling daughter is preforming in the talent show at school on Thursday so I have the fingers and toes crossed that I'll be available that day. And if that doesn't work out my good friend is going to tape it... bless her heart!

After dinner I scrapped a little while watching part of a movie. (A little stress relief... thank goodness!)

Tis the weekend again... already!?!?!

I really don't know where the time has gone lately. Life almost feels surreal at the moment. So much to do and so little time that its just gone in the blink of an eye.

The dishwasher went in without a hitch and is wonderful.

We've picked the boat back up and are looking forward to taking it out for a test run tomorrow afternoon.

I don't know how but I've managed to squeek by without serving on Jury duty last week. One week to go.

We've done all the shopping and dispursing of end of the school year gifts to teachers and staff. It's a relief to have it done.

Friday morning I woke with a itch to go through my stamps. I filled two photo boxes and took them into work to sell. One box was emptied by the end of the day and I was a $100.00 richer. Maybe I'll put it towards that printer I've been eyeing. ;)

Yesterday and much of today I've been doing things around the house. Although yesterday I did take a little break to fiddle with the settings on my blog. Added the slides too. During the course of today I did do a LO that I'd like to share. :D

I don't think I've scrapped in a couple of weeks. Boy did I miss it! 6 more days until summer break. I can't wait!

Oh! Friday I had my end of the year review at work and must say I was very pleased with the results. So... overall it was a great week. Hope yours was too!

Rain rain go away....

And yes when it rains in pours. :S

We took the boat out that and had a great time when I last posted pics. It was the first time out in it and it was clear it needed a bit of attention so we took it in to have the motor serviced. It was in and out of the shop in a reasonable time and then it rained and rained and rained. Where did our beautiful sunshine go? We had a break last Monday and so dh and I dropped it back in the water had a difficult time getting it started up. Finally it did and we ran it about for a short while, stopped to fish, went to leave and were stranded. The motor wouldn't go into gear. We had to be towed back to the dock. Nice! So its back in the shop having the motor rebuilt. Urgh! On the bright side, it'll be done and in fine shape before our vacation.

And if that wasn't enough, our dishwasher is broken. I hate hate hate doing dishes. The kitchen is my least favorite household chore indoor or out. Dh is supposed to go buy and install a new one on Monday... I wish him luck. ;)

My dh's work has switched from one cellular phone company to another recently leaving us the responcibility to buy out of our old contract. Grrr! But the silver lining is what I got today...

Now to find some time to download some tunes. :D

Sorry for the grumbly post. Just so much going on right now and not at all what I had planned. *sigh*
