The sun is out

and it promises to be another beautiful day. Who can complain?

The kids have plans of their own this weekend so dear hubby and I are going to the beach for a night. Yay! I'm very much looking forward to that.

I still need to take a new pic of Harry to post with his new collar... maybe after his bath. ;)

In June we have a week off for a vacation which we still haven't planned. How bad is that? We all want to go do something yet none of us have made the decision of where we should go or what we should do. That little fact has been haunting me that past few days as June is drawing near.

Downloaded some cute kits this week. Played with one last night. Do I need to tell you that I was enjoying the creativity of the kit. It inspired some whimsy. :D

How cool is this?!?!

People to People Future Leaders Summit accepted my son into their program. Wow! He is SO excited and we are so proud.

Onto other things... this weekend was absolutely gorgeous! We did tons of yard work, brought out all the patio furniture and cleaned up the bbq grill and such. Gotta love the sunshine!

Things have evened back out and life is not as nearly as stressful as a few weeks ago thank goodness. Just 9 more weeks I think until we are on a summer break. Can't wait!

This coming weekend they are having a wine and crab festival at the beach. Dear hubby and I are contemplating a quiet evening away to enjoy a little time to ourselves... boy this is tempting. :D

And Love Holly's new kit. Got to play with it tonight. Here's what I came up with.

This week is better

than last. Thank goodness!

Church on Sunday was fantastic. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

The last two days have been absolutely gorgeous. Yesterday we went into town and I bought my pooch a new collar. Its really a cute tan leather with little silver studs and spikes. (hehe) I'll have to post a pic of Harry wearing it soon. ;)

This evening we went for a long walk around the neighborhood with all the dogs and it was really nice. So glad that we will be able to do that more as the weather improves.

I've been working this week on my recipe cards for the swap I'm in. I also worked on a few layouts. One I finished up a little bit ago and will post tonight.

Boy, this has been a tough day.

Don't want to talk about it. Don't even want to think about it. Just want to escape for a few minutes into cyberspace.

I have a new lo to share.

Super Sunday!

This week has been so busy and so much fun. I can hardly believe we have to go back to school tomorrow. Now the countdown to summer break begins. :D

Did a little scrapping and have a LO to share.

Busy bee I've been

No scrappin' lately but I've been downloading kits all week long. Yay! (Be proud of me because I'm not going to take this opportunity to gripe about how slow dial up is. :P )

We are in the process of redecorating darling daughters room and that is what has taken up most all of my free time in this past week. We haven't finished so here's just a sneak peak~

Yep! You guessed it, she's going for that shabby chic look. It really suits her too. Now that we have the furniture painted and distressed we need to paint and panel (beadboard) the walls. I must point out that the dresser in the middle pic was my fabulous find this weekend at a antique store. It's really cool! But I think that absolute best part of the room redo is that she got rid of tons of stuff. She is such a pack-rat and keeps everything. So here's to bagging up everything in colored bags so she can't see through them and storing them away for a bit. The deal is she is only allowed to bring a item back in if she is specifically looking for it. How awful is that? ;)
